WHO WE ARE

Based in KwaZulu Natal, we are a small company of between 70 and 80 loyal employees, who operate out of our office and manufacturing facility. Our employees aren't just like family, they are family! Since the very beginning to now, we continue to be family owned and operated.

We take great pride in ensuring that our products maintain a high standard of quality and durability from conception to completion. We're selective in choosing the raw components of our materials, our patterns are precisely designed, and our highly skilled staff craft each seat cover with great attention to detail.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

KINDO Covers started in January 2011, in Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu Natal. For the first eighteen months it was a “one-man-show”, with a company called Lea-D Clothing doing the manufacturing of the covers. In June 2012, the decision was taken to start our own small factory, letting out 9sqm of a garage. Starting with just two sewing machines and two employees, this progression was paramount to KINDO Covers becoming what it is today. We are extremely proud that we now employ over 60 loyal staff members, and look forward to moving into our bigger premises at the end of this year (2018). We also have offices in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. The name “KINDO” is derived from the words Kids, INdustry and DOgs, all of whom can add to the deterioration of car seats.

In the unfortunate event of an accident, you can rest assured in the proper deployment of your vehicle’s side airbag system as all our designs have special stitching to ensure your vehicles airbags are not affected by our seat covers.
